Helping Beekeepers and Honey Bees for over 15 Years
We Have a teaching apiary just outside of Norwich.
Beginners' Course
We are running a Beginners' Course aimed at those who are about to embark upon their beekeeping journey or those who have just started. The course will consist of 4 Zoom sessions followed by 2 full days in our Association Apiary. The cost will be payable in advance and non returnable, this includes one year NDBKA full membership. The dates for the Zoom sessions will be set in the course overview link below. Apiary meetings are dependent on the weather and when the beekeeping season starts so dates for these will be confirmed nearer the time. Please note that apiary meetings are subject to last minute changes according to the weather. The Association Apiary is situated north east of Norwich and approximately 30 mins from the centre of the city.
Before contacting us to register your interest, do please read the course details here, to make sure you are happy with dates and involvement. We have a maximum number people able to join to allow each person close access to mentors and hives and this is on a first come, first served basis.
If you are still keen to join up, please enter a few details here and they will be then be passed onto our treasurer Linda, who will send you a link to register and pay. She should also be able to answer any further questions you may have.
We look forward to meeting you and to giving you a great start to your beekeeping journey.
PLEASE NOTE: Although our beginners' course will give you a good basis for starting beekeeping or in preparing you for the Basic Assessment exam, it does not constitute part of the actual modules towards becoming a Master Beekeeper. More info on the BBKA modules can be found here - BBKA Modules
